2026 Election Information

The Walnut Valley Water District will participate in the November 3, 2026, General Election for the election of members to its Board of Directors.
Board members are elected by division and must reside within the division they seek to represent. Directors serve four-year terms and are responsible for establishing District policies, adopting the annual budget, and providing oversight of the District’s operations.
Divisions on the November 3, 2026 Ballot
Division II – Full four-year term ending December 2030.
Division III – Full four-year term ending December 2030.
Division V – Election to fill the remainder of the current term ending December 2028.
The Division V seat will be on the ballot following a Board appointment made to fill a vacancy. The appointed Director serves until the November 3, 2026 General Election. The candidate elected by the voters will serve the remainder of the term through December 2028.
The Walnut Valley Water District is governed by a five-member Board of Directors each representing one of five divisions. The Directors serve overlapping four-year terms. The next election for a Board seat will be held in November 2026.
Nomination Process
To become a candidate, you must first be issued Nomination Papers by the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorders/County Clerk’s Office. All Nomination papers must be returned and filed with the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorders/County Clerk’s Office. The Walnut Valley Water District CANNOT accept the completed Nomination Papers.
