Money for High School Seniors!

The 2023-2024 Scholar Dollar Program is now accepting applications. The deadline to apply is Thursday, February 15th at 4:30 p.m. All applications must be submitted online at pwagcet.org/scholar-dollars/.

This year’s essay topic/theme is “How will climate change impact droughts and water supplies in California? Describe something that water agencies, cities, counties, or the state could do differently to tackle these threats and ensure long-term water security for the state.”

Eligibility Requirements Include:

  • 12th grade student residing in the CET service area (WVUSD, RUSD, PUSD)
  • Current GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Plans to attend a two-or four-year, or technical college in the next academic year
  • Completed application
  • Scholarship essay

This a program sponsored by Walnut Valley Water District (WVWD) through its participation in the Public Water Agencies Group (PWAG) Conservation & Education Team. The purpose of the Scholarship Dollar program is to support high school seniors who are planning on attending a two-or four-year, or technical college in the next academic year. Four students will be selected annually to receive $1,000, payable to an educational institution upon proof of enrollment.

Students attending high school within PWAG CET’s service area are eligible to participate in the Scholars Dollar Program. This includes the Walnut Valley Unified School District, Rowland Unified School District, and the Pomona Unified School District.
