Internship Program

Students who attend a high school within the WVWD service area or live in the service area are eligible to participate in internship opportunities. Schools within the WVWD service area include:

A thriving workforce is one of Walnut Valley Water District’s guiding principles. This is accomplished by fostering a culture of employee empowerment and continuous innovation – which includes engaging the community and the District’s student population.

Congratulations to the students who were selected to participate in the summer 2025 cohort. The program begins on June 2, 2025. Eleven high school students from throughout the service area will work part-time at the District for eight weeks.

Outreach for the 2026 summer internship program will begin in February of next year. The online application opens in the spring, followed by interviews and final selections in May of each year.
