High School Internship Program
Not sure what you want to do after high school? No problem. Walnut Valley Water District (WVWD) offers an 8-week paid internship just for local students like you. It’s a chance to explore real careers in the water industry—jobs that make a difference, offer great pay and benefits, and might just be the right fit for your future.

Interns must commit to the full 8 weeks. You’ll choose one of these part-time shifts:
Morning shift: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Afternoon shift: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Important: If you’re applying for the Operations team (Field/Production), you must be available for the afternoon shift and ready for outdoor, hands-on work!
All interns receive minimum wage pay at $18 per hour.
Who Can Apply?
You must be a high school student who either:
✔️ Attends a school within WVWD’s service area or
✔️ Lives in the WVWD service area

- Diamond Bar High School
- Diamond Ranch High School
- Ron Hockwalt Academies
- Rowland High School
- Walnut High School
