SoCal Gas Energy Resource Center

Join SoCal Gas on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, for a free live landscape professional workshop “Irrigation’s Importance: Total Irrigation Run Time,” hosted by Southern California Gas Company in collaboration with The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.

Calculating Total Irrigation Run Time (TIRT) is perhaps the most important concept and field skill in irrigation and water management. This session progresses from determining Plant Water Requirements, Plant Available Water, and Precipitation Rates through Distribution Uniformity of irrigation systems and the establishment of an irrigation schedule. Upon understanding how to establish a schedule, the next step is managing the irrigation controller to adjust to real conditions on the ground and in a drought.

The class is free, but registration is required. Please sign up on the website below.

Start time is 9:00 am.
